Is the $15 purchase a one time thing, or does it need to be done with every consecutive update? This looks really interesting but I'd rather pay a higher one time payment towards the end of development than a repeating charge of $15 for each patch.
Yeah, but Atlyss was built from the ground up to be an online game.
It's often not an easy task to just jam online into a game that was never designed for it. The developer would likely have to rewrite massive chunks of almost every gameplay related script to both; get things syncing across clients and working with more than one player.
Not to mention, Archipelagates is a singleplayer game at it's core, and just slapping online into it with no considerations given to how this could effect the actual experience would be a poor decision, so parts of the game's design would likely need to be altered too, and it appears like the dev wants to wrap up development, not extend it.
not to mention how dangerous it could be if handled improperly. like webfishing's online. so i agree no online. (also dev i appreciate you adding the content i requested on twitter during your original fluids update.)
The game itself is quite fun, but it feels a bit, empty at the moment. Would also be cool to have a feature where you can customise existing NPCs, as well as more intractability with them.
But, I'm loving it so far. Can't wait to see what the new updates will look like
I've been playing this game with a friend quite a bit recently, and we're having fun exploring and fucking and all that, but we also like making NPCs and sharing them too.
So do you mind if I suggest a few things?
I'm not sure if there is a way to edit an NPC after they've been created. That'd be convenient, in the off chance that more customisation options become available later, or if you did what I did, and accidentally make an NPC way too hard to get.
A way to easily identify NPCs in the Manage NPCs menu. I see lots of NPCs that I really like and others that I wish I'd see a little less, but unfortunately there's no easy way to link a face to a name.
If at all possible, an easier way to share NPCs would be great. Having to shuffle through the appdata folder is a bit tedious.
And of course, there are other things but I don't want to write an entire essay. My only other request is to have a half pattern for the tail and genitals too. I want to make a character that is entirely two tone, but if I want it to look any good, I they can't have a dick or a tail.
But yeah, you have a good game here, and I'll very likely keep playing it for a while!~
Hey will you eventually allow the exporting of 3d models so that people can make characters using the character creator (Honestly the best character creation workflow I've ever used), and use those models in blender or something, or if that is something you do not want to do, will you add a photo mode or something simmilar?
I wanted to do this, but the game does a LOT of messing with the model at runtime with the character create, and it would require a lot of rework to reproduce and bake those changes into an export. It might be something I explore in the future though.. It's hard to have a fun character create and not use the results for more stuff!
Well... You can't really kiss, but you can do everything else you can do with NPCs ... She is also a random Spawn NPC like the other islanders. She's just hard to persuade.
I also wanted it so that when a character came into another person, the stomach would fill up and not disappear for a long time (until the character pulls his penis out of another character).And I can also advise you to make such a function that when the player or NPC finished, the player could press some button, then the sex would continue (until the player presses the space bar on the example, then the sex would not end), and with the NPC it is more difficult, when the NPC finished, then he would use the code that the author used it to make NPCs flirt, have sex, etc. (I practically don't know how to program).I hope you get the gist!

I can only imagine what can be like to produce a game being a single developer so i'll try to be understanding.
That said, i do think that you're losing interest in this game... maybe your other project (which i do not know about) is taking priority and that's great, still i would ask you not to announce dates of new updates for Archipelagates if you already know you're not going to make it.
As a buyer of this game, at this stage i feel like this game was meant to be used as the base of work for your other project and not a main focus anymore.
To clarify: i'm not in your discord so I don't know if this is the case, i just feel like this as someone who look at this page often, hoping to see a new entry on the development log.

One of the RANDOMLY GENERATED npc's, got generated a bit too small and slim, and that was enough for them to say "that is a minor, no game for you, don't call us back" which is total BS cause they allowed that stupid loli pinball game on
Really? That's why? Well what about breeders of nephilhime, they have mini goblin that can have traits to make them skinny with small breast. Shouldn't they flag that.
Not only that but what about kobold kare? You cal literally breed them to be as small and petite as possible.
There is but I'm assuming doing so would likely cost way to much time, effort, and money for them to rescind their decision. So I'm assuming Raliv attempted to appeal it but ultimately decided it simply wasn't worth the headache and dropped it. Tho for all i know they could very well still be working on appealing it.
Currently, there's no way to edit or delete custom-made npcs. You have to break into the game files.
AppData\LocalLow\RalivDev to find where the game files are, where you'll be able to find game saves, saved appearances, and the player-made npcs. I don't know if it'll be in the same place on every computer, but that's how I found it on mine.
You can also deactivate the NPC in game at the main menu. This is a good substitute until they can be deleted.
And you can always save the template of the NPC and edit it later, making a new NPC. Just remember to deactivate the old version or you may get duplicates.
I like the update, even if it's a bit small. The only thing I think I could have wished was added was a way to view NPCs without having to save the appearance everytime. Other than that, peak update
Honestly, the dev could just change the main page to be only allowing threads instead of comments, because the hackers only want attention from the main page. And even if they went the effort of spamming on thread posts, they technically unable, because its by script they following to spam that kind of scam
Understandable, some comments are gold. But tbh, people could just post a topic and comment from there if its relevant. Ofc, its not a good idea to abuse those features when they are mostly used for bug report or topics related to the game.
Too bad you don't have a way to auto-mod the comments to delete posts with suspicious links. Though I do understand even that wouldn't be a perfect fix either.

i dunno from what ive heard peer to peer is not super hard to do IF you know how to ofc. Atlyss did it and its also a single dev.

how do you delete old npc's that you create?
Currently, there's no way to edit or delete custom-made npcs. You have to break into the game files.

AppData folder is hidden by default.
You need to allow showing hidden files.
You can also deactivate the NPC in game at the main menu. This is a good substitute until they can be deleted.
And you can always save the template of the NPC and edit it later, making a new NPC. Just remember to deactivate the old version or you may get duplicates.
