Patch 0.11!
Patch 0.11 is here! This is a relatively small content patch preparing for the sprint to 1.0
The following has been added:
- 4 new hair options for furry characters (2 variants of 2 styles)
- 5 new clothing items
- The clothing dyer can now dye layers separately on clothing with more than one layer
- The clothing dyer can now accept up to 2 dyes at a time, mixing the two colors
The primary purpose of this patch was to get my hair workflow back up and running (It's been a while for hair), and to get the game ready for the sprint to 1.0. The next patch will likely be the 1.0 release, and the goal is to significantly improve the leveling, enemy scaling, and loot progression to make it feel like a better core game experience.
Thank you! And please let me know if anything is broken!

Game could use a few things
better leveling system
regarding horny stuff
dating system/companion system
recruiting npcs to the village
SFX for sex scenes
Why the sudden push for 1.0, the game feels less than complete really, I don’t like where this is going.
Think you misunderstood what they meant.
For now it has been mostly about adding stuff to the game and fixing bugs.
Now that they have added the final part of what they wanted to do , which is some new hair, clothes, and dye features, they are now able to focus on improve the leveling, enemy scaling, and loot progression.
It is however a bit odd to make it into a 1.0 with that reason only, because there could been so much more added to the game.
And seeing that the most there is in it is just collect clothes, slay enemies, get better clothes and weapons, meet your favorite characters or those you made yourself, sex them, and rinse and repeat. Its relatively bare bones.
Your response seem like you changed your mind half way through and ended up agreeing with them instead of explaining why they misunderstood xD
Honestly, it just felt like they were not understanding the choice of going forward with the plan to focus on working on the game for the 1.0 version.
But i do agree that there is a lot of stuff the dev could work on it, but maybe they will during the progress to reaching 1.0
Its not like they going to just slap a 1.0 on it tomorrow and call quits because of their announcement recently
The dev is a nice bloke. We've had a few chats in the past, and he always seemed like he did his best, genuinely caring about the end product.
Could be this project was his way of proving to himself that he could finish a game project, never intending it to be some massive game with a tonne of features.
From what i understand up til now Raliv has been primarily working on the games core mechanics, so now that they've got those in a state their comfortable with they're likely switching their focus to adding more content and fleshing out stuff like lore, story elements, characters, locations, enemies ect ect...
if by "core mechanics," you mean "character creator," then sure.
Hoping for some NPC companion options before the full release? I agree with the popular opinion, there's a ways to go before the game feels like a full 1.0
Wait, wait are you pushing for version 1.0 already!? Why ending your development for Archipelagates so soon?
Edit: If I'm not wrong about this conclusion of course. But considering what people saying here in comments...
could controls/key configuration be added?
Things I would want in a 1.0:
purchasable Enchanter/Disenchanter in town
boss monster(s)
more control over portals (level selection, feature selection) or maybe a reroll function with the expenditure of experience
more terrain types
more quests/storyline with the main NPCs
recruitable minor NPCs with controllable inventories
strong attack for spells (hold Q)
hitscan lightning spell that just does raw damage (or maybe slows the enemy?)
advance/rewind stage buttons or keys for sex scenes
A 1.0 release needs way more content, like everyone is saying. I think I'd like sound in the sex interations the most now
yeah, im joining everyone else in saying that there is nowhere near enough content to justify a 1.0 release, if you are like, burnt out or something, we would totally understand if you wanted to stop working on it
gonna chime in with the others here with the opinion that you are not close to a 1.0 release. sprinting to reach 1.0 right now would probably be a Very Bad Idea.
now, if we restrict "1.0" to JUST the character creator, then i'd agree. you've got a very robust character creator that only needs a few additions (helpfully supplied by user epicawesomeness5 below,) to bring it to "perfection."
but the actual game? you've got an alpha skeleton, and by my estimation, you'd need at least two more years to expand this to a decent state that includes a good 6-8 hours of content. this would just be fleshing out the things that already exist, not really adding much beyond that.
Thanks for the shoutout! While I personally agree that there are a lot of areas that need more content to consider this a "full" game, it's not my place, or yours, to choose how much content to release the game with, it's RalivDev's, and they might not have the ability to add or change much more before considering it a "finished" project due to personal circumstances we have no context on.
That said, I commented earlier because there are a few critical points of friction in the current design that makes the content we ALREADY HAVE harder to work with. Even if NOTHING else was added to the game for the 1.0 release, I would hope that they take the time to make the experience smooth enough to enjoy for a long time.
YESS IM GLAD IT STILL ALIVE
hell yeah, so happy to see this thing not get abandoned yet, i really enjoy this game 🙏🙏
While this is a great update, I'd agree with the others commenting here that there are more features to both add and refine than just altering the leveling and scaling, if only for the QoL for the 1.0 release;
Although the NPC "manager" is in the game, the only aspect it lets you manage being whether or not they show up in-game makes the feature seem woefully underdeveloped compared to other aspects of the game. Not to mention, there's no way of even previewing the NPC you're toggling, making it a crapshoot whether you're toggling the correct NPC unless you go out of your way to learn their names by toggling everyone BUT them. Giving us an in to the character editor from that screen would solve the problem, and another too, because there's also currently no way to edit NPC's you've made without going and digging through the files to delete them so you can recreate them from a saved preset. But then you run into ANOTHER problem while you're recreating them, because you don't actually have fine control over the color and pattern of clothes in the NPC editor, you have to cycle through them until it randomly generates the color you want, if it can at all, because it seems like certain clothing slots are hard locked to shades of certain colors.
Can you see what I'm talking about? Overall the game is great with the core gameplay loop being so solid, but I'd encourage the 1.0 release of the game to have a smooth gameplay experience at all levels you can engage it at, especially given that the NPC editor is a major hook for replayability.
I was wondering if you would ever add a few more features
1. Advanced Character Customization: Give us more patterns/layers to work with to really make the character we want, the system we have no is amazing but would be better if there was more pattern options.
2. Audio: Sounds for sexual interactions
3. A way to edit NPCs we have previously made to change how they look, without having to create a new NPC
It is far too early for a 1.0 release. What about new terrains, quest/story, more enemy types, weapon types, mechanics(?) and possibly some other things? Right now the game is extremely small and you can get through really all of the major content in about a hour and a half. The game feels more in alpha and would feel wrong to basically skip all of the way to full release already. With the game set at $15 it is already far more costly than the content is has right now, and if a couple things that can be done within a short time gets it to 1.0 doesn't seem right at all!
I really love this game, but I don't think it's ready for a 1.0 release. There's not even a main quest line
Is there a way to remove a pattern (or dye) that has been previously added to a piece of clothing?
If you apply a dye with no pattern it will completely replace everything under it, so you can create a blank slate.
